I started angel investing in 2019, after Spotify's IPO. Serruya Capital was born out my (Juan Manuel Serruya) passion for working with early stage entrepreneurs and companies.

I spent the past 15 years working in startups across the globe, as an engineer, engineering leader & Founder/CEO.
Most notably at Spotify, where during 6 years I lead a global team of engineers, designers and product managers and contributed to scale Spotify from a regional success to the global leader in audio streaming with hundreds of millions of MAU from scale up to IPO.
After Spotify, I started Datia, an ESG Data platform for Banks & Asset Managers. Datia was acquired by Connect Earth in 2025.

As of November of 2025, I am the Co-Founder & CEO of Tonada, Tonada's cutting edge AI creates a unique catalog of original music for your brands, adapting in real time to what’s happening in your stores.

I invest in angel, pre-seed and seed rounds of ambitious technology companies pre and post product market fit. I look for teams that have a strong technology DNA that have a product in the market and are looking to accelerate their growth.
In addition to the capital, I provide our portfolio companies with advise and support on scaling engineering, product and growth.
